Tom has been playing and recording since the 1960’s. Starting the Eli Radish band with Danny Sheridan, he recorded an album for Capital Record’s titled “I Didn’t Raise My Son to be a Soldier”. In 1971, the band hooked up with David Allen Coe and recorded for Shelby Singleton out of Nashville. The Eli Radish band played extensively throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee, through the early 1970’s.
In 1978 Tom put his guitar playing aside and moved to Texas to play pedal steel. Living in Austin, Corpus Christi, and Dallas, Tom figures he played every honky tonk and dance hall in the state. Tom returned to Ohio in 1994 and has been playing with Ted Riser since 1999. Tom’s biggest influence in music was an old pal, the late Jimmy Day.
